They will talk to you about everything you want to know about their island... so if you need to know something, just talk to them.

Submitted by Agustín Gómez on Fri, 31/10/2008 - 21:20Zanzibar island was full covered by rain forest and unique fauna and flora. Nowdays only the Jozani Forest National Park preserver. There we can enjoy with the Colobos Rojos (Piliocolobus kirkii), one endemic and threated specie. We hope that it does not happen just same thing to the leopard that lived in the island.
Diving Zanzibar
Submitted by Agustín Gómez on Fri, 31/10/2008 - 21:16Have you ever seen this tank transport before?? No doub about it, Zanzibar´s diving is one of the "hot activities" in the island. In Kendwa´s beach, north up on the island, there is a Spanish diving center. But just with mask and snorkel you will enjoy with the variety of plants and animmals. If you go on September you could dive with the whale shark.

Submitted by Agustín Gómez on Fri, 31/10/2008 - 21:07One day we rent one boat and they took us to this paradise island, nobody in there and to get inside we had to pass throught the plants. After lunch they took us to a piece of sand that excelled in the middle of the sea and we took a bath with mask and snorkel... it look like you were diving in the aquarium!!
Beaches and chorale barrier
Submitted by Agustín Gómez on Fri, 31/10/2008 - 21:01When you see these white sand beaches, crystal clear waters you think... I would like to take a bath, Don´t you? Ok, you will need some time untill the water goes above your knees. You have to walk and walk where the waves are breaking and go out from the barrier. It is better to go on hide tide.
Stone Town City
Submitted by Agustín Gómez on Fri, 31/10/2008 - 20:55The city of Stone Town was the main place of slavery of the East Indian and it is the old side of the capital that was declared Patrimony of the Humanity in the 2000 year. It´s worth to get lost in the streets, visiting the fishing and fruit market, just sit down and get some fruit juices and watch the superb wood doors of the houses that at their time were distinguishing of wealth.
Traveling Zanzibar
Submitted by Agustín Gómez on Fri, 31/10/2008 - 20:47More tourism is coming to Zanzibar. Local busses have their own scheddule so better to talk to some local and rent his van. Probably he will be the driver... some sections will really scare you!! If you like to go to some islands go to the beach and talk to the local people. It was Britain colony so most of the people talk in english, also italian because they were the first tourits to come.
